Zamansky LLC Investigates Long Island Financial Advisor Steve Pagartanis of Setauket, New York
The law firm is investigating Long Island financial planner and advisor Steve Pagartanis of Omega Planning Associates in Setauket, New York. Through Omega Planning Associates, Pagartanis has engaged in business as an insurance agent selling life insurance and elder care policies, and as a college financial planner. Separately, he has also engaged in the business of selling variable annuities and investments as an independent financial advisor recently for Lombard Securities, and previously for Cadaret, Grant & Co.
On March 13, 2018, according to his FINRA Broker Check Report, Pagartanis was discharged by Lombard Securities for failing to comply with its investigation of an alleged sale to a customer of an unapproved investment and possible misappropriation of client funds. Previously, on March 20, 2017, Pagartanis was previously terminated by Cadaret, Grant & Co. because he resigned the day before a surprise inspection of his office over an allegation that he sold an unapproved outside investment.
FINRA, the organization which regulates all investment sales and brokers, forbids outside investment activity that is not approved by the employing firm. This rule is intended to prevent sales of unsuitable or fraudulent investments to unaware investors.
If you are or were a client of Steve Pagartanis, you may wish to have your situation or brokerage account reviewed to determine if you were a victim or have a possible claim.
