Zamansky LLC Partner Samuel Bonderoff Quoted in Exxon Law360 Article

Defendants asked a Texas federal court to dismiss a class action suit brought by Zamansky LLC on behalf of Exxon employees.  The suit alleges that Exxon hid its knowledge of climate change and made false and misleading disclosures causing its retirement plan to lose value.

Zamansky LLC partner Samuel Bonderoff stated, “[f]or decades, ExxonMobil has misrepresented the effect of global climate change on its business, first by denying the existence of man-made climate change altogether, then by refusing to acknowledge the impact that it would have on the value of the company’s reserves … [t]hese misrepresentations have harmed many, including those company employees whose retirement savings were invested in ExxonMobil stock. On behalf of those employees, we intend to hold ExxonMobil accountable.”
