FINANCIAL ADVISOR TRACEY CROWNOVER AT AMERIPRISE OVER VARIABLE LIFE INSURANCE, ANNUITY AND REIT SALES

Zamansky LLC (“Zamansky”) announces that it is investigating financial advisor Tracey Crownover at Ameriprise Financial Services for possible misrepresentation in connection with sales of variable life insurance policies, variable annuities and unlisted real estate investment trusts (“REITs”). Although she only joined Ameriprise in 2006, Crownover has amassed approximately 24 customer complaints against her for misrepresentation of various investment and life insurance products.

The investigation concerns whether Crownover or other Ameriprise financial advisors or representatives sold clients insurance products or investments through misrepresentation.  Crownover’s complaint history with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority reflects that her customer complaints related to misrepresentations concerning fees, terms and features of the policies, and suitability for the client. Her lengthy complaint history raises concerns over whether Ameriprise was properly and sufficiently supervision her and its other financial advisors.
