August M. Iorio joined Zamansky LLC in 2011. His practice involves representing individuals and groups of investors in securities arbitrations against their brokerage firms. These cases involve misconduct such as fraud, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, failure to supervise, unsuitable recommendations, failure to disclose conflicts of interest and other violations of state and federal securities laws and regulations. He has handled over 300 cases from inception to disposition. The other aspect of Mr. Iorio’s practice involves representing plaintiffs in a variety of class actions and other litigations, most of which involve securities transactions.
Mr. Iorio is a 2006 graduate of the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He was a repeated Dean’s List Member and also studied international business and political science.
Mr. Iorio earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2010. While attending law school, Mr. Iorio worked in the legal department at the Boeing Company, where he reviewed and negotiated purchase agreement assignments and supported aircraft deliveries. Mr. Iorio also provided counsel and advice to small businesses in the Community Development and Entrepreneurship Clinic at the Ronald A. Peterson Law Clinic at Seattle University School of Law. Prior to his graduation, Mr. Iorio worked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Washington, where he worked on both criminal and civil matters.
Mr. Iorio was admitted to the New York State bar in September 2011.
